Sundown, born Rodrigo Barbosa (November 5th, 2003) is an independent artist and producer from Dallas, Texas. From a young age, he knew music was his calling and dream. Originally from Brazil, he moved to Texas where he was introduced to the rising genres at the time. As of now, his music is heavily inspired by the underground genre known as "Hyper pop" with other genres sprinkled into his music as well. Sundown has produced, recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered all of his current releases. His goal with his music is to create a feeling of nostalgia as if you're in a dream-like, ethereal, otherworldly state of mind. With this idea he created the world known as "Hiraeth. Where The Sun Never Sleeps". A dream world of peace, happiness, and success. Hiraeth is his label, his creation, his world!

Sundown found his love for the underground artist scene and is inspired and curated his sound, aesthetic and style from artists such as: Aries, EricDOA, Glaive, Midwxst, Gunnr, Brakence, and much more. The "Hyper Pop" sound can be heard off of his first major release entitled "WHERE THE SUN NEVER SLEEPS". Filled with fast paced melodies and high energy. Besides "Hyper Pop", he can also produce genres such as Pop, Rap, Rock, EDM, Ambient music, Acoustic, Classical/Orchestral and much more. His second major release entitled "Forever A Memory" which takes more of a Pop sounding approach. A more calming, happy, warm sounding take. His up coming release "Finding Starlight" is heavily inspired by rap flow and electronic production. A darker, electronic rap inspired project and will be releasing October 24th, 2025.
